Delivery

Standard delivery times for belgium: 1 to 2 working days.

Other destinations in Europe (except islands), America and Canada : 2 to 4 working days.

The shipping times are expressed in working days, this means holidays and weekends are not taken into account.

Orders are processed from Monday to Thursday untill 10am. An order placed after 10am will not be processed until the next working day. Orders made on Thursday after 12am will be handled on Monday.

As soon as your package is shipped, you will receive an e-mail containing its tracking code.

B-post (national)
DHL For You (Benelux)
DHL Express (Europe, America, Canada)

B-Post will deliver your package within 1 to 2 working days (only for Belgium). If you are not at home at the time of delivery, you will receive a written request from BPost to pick up the package at the post office. The package will be available for 15 days at the post office. If not picked up, it will be returned to the shipping address, so it will return to The Chocolate Line. In this case, you will have to pay the shipping fee again to receive the package. If an incorrect shipping address has been submitted, the buyer is responsible for the additional shipping costs.

DHL For You will deliver your package within 2 working days (only for Benelux). At the first delivery attempt, DHL delivers your package to you or your neighbors when you are not home. After a failed delivery attempt, you will receive a notification with instructions. This allows you to provide a new delivery time or you can pick up the package at the DHL Parcel Shop. If an incorrect shipping address has been submitted, the buyer is responsible for the additional shipping costs.

DHL Express will ship your package in  within 1 working day for national shipments, for international shipments this will take 2 to 4 working days. The shipment is offered twice and you will also receive a notification with instructions. This allows you to pass a different delivery time, pick up the package at a DHL depot or service shop, deliver the package to your neighbors, ...
If an incorrect shipping address has been submitted, the buyer is responsible for the additional shipping costs.

Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day 1 on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us, The Chocolate Line, Simon Stevinplein 19, 8000 Bruges, Belgium, customerservice@thechocolateline.be) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement. You may use the model withdrawal form which can be downloaded HERE.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • the supply of goods made to the consumer´s specifications or clearly personalised;
  • the supply of goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • the supply of goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
